What many home buyers do not realize is that there are MANY programs out there to help offset home buyer purchasing costs. The link above is just one of the resources my buyers use to supplement costs associated with a purchase.
Having a loan officer that knows these products and can help combine or stack them to your loan can be a great resource. One of my past clients was about to use 3 different local, city and federal grants at a total benefit to him of $23,000!!! This money was used not only to pay for his down payment but also was used to buy down the loan balance making his monthly payment lower!
